DATO’ V. RATHAKRISHNAN

Director

  • Dato’ V.Rathakrishnan was made the Managing Director of World Education Placement Services in 2021.
  • He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Hull, UK along with Masters of Advanced Business Practice from the University of South Australia. His undergraduate study in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) was also related to business management and computer science.
  • Dato’ V. Rathakrishnan started his career as an internal auditor in USM and later joined the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia serving in the Administrative and Diplomatic Service. He later worked with a international multinational manufacturing company which employed over 20,000 staff, for around 20 years  and was its Deputy President when he left in 2009. He later co-started and was the Managing Director of an award winning Information Technology company which delivered technologically innovative, client-centric and comprehensive cross-border technology solution spanning 15 countries and also handling applications and infrastructure setup for public and private sector clientele. He was also the Chairman of a Public listed company and sat in the Board of a few public listed companies until 2021.
  • He is a well-known corporate figure especially for his outstanding leadership qualities and high standard of professionalism and dynamism in human resource management and other key areas of business management and operations.
  • He sat on various Committees in the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers and Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Trade and Industry over his career.
  • Mr. Mughilen is the Chief Executive Officer of World Education Placement Services.
  • His obtained his International Business Management education from Asia Pacific University. He then began his career by working in multiple roles across the industry in Human Resources, Audit, Risk & Compliance and Business Units. Along the way, he has found his passion in connecting students & assisting them with their career development through coaching & job placements.
  • His roles in WEPS involves active participation & execution on the company’s Business Unit Performance, Strategy Planning & Review, M&A and Joint Venture Partnerships, Student Placement and Products Development. He was instrumental in leading the team at WEPS to gain strategic partnerships across the globe with highly reputed players in the international education industry.
  • His vision is to bring awareness of the current industry trends to the youth, and ensure the students are skilled in the right industry areas to keep themselves relevant in the ever-changing business industry landscape.
