AWS re/Start Program
Overview
AWS re/Start is a cohort-based workforce development training program that prepares individuals for careers in the cloud and connects them to potential employers. A technology background is not required to apply. The program is free to the learner(with sponsors) and focused on helping unemployed or underemployed individuals launching a new career. AWS re/Start’s collaborating organizations support underrepresented groups, minorities, displaced individuals, young people, and more.
Through coursework and hands-on labs, using real world scenarios, learners can gain the technical skills they need for entry to mid-level cloud roles. AWS re/Start also provides learners with professional skills training like resume and interview coaching to prepare them for employer meetings and job interviews.
Choose Your Application Pathway for the AWS re/Start Program
This pathway is open to individuals selected under WEPS-sponsored opportunities, where the full cost of training is covered.
Learners who are accepted into this pathway will undergo the AWS re/Start program at no cost, as part of WEPS’ initiative to support digital upskilling and workforce development.
Seats are limited and subject to selection availability.
This pathway is exclusively for individuals who are registered under PERKESO (EIS) and have received an official Guarantee Letter (GL) for training approval.
Eligible applicants under this pathway will be enrolled based on their approved EIS sponsorship, where training is funded according to PERKESO guidelines.
If you do not have an approved GL under EIS, please apply through the Public Pathway.

Once learners have developed AWS Cloud computing skills through hands-on experience during the training, they will be provided with a FREE Exam Voucher to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.

Certificate
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Exam (CLF-C02) from AWS. This credential helps organizations identify and develop talent with critical knowledge related to implementing cloud initiatives. Earning AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner validates cloud fluency and foundational AWS knowledge.

The AWS re/Start program adapts its teaching to fit each student’s learning style and goals. Students learn through hands-on practice and classroom sessions, where they develop essential tech skills like Linux, Python, networking, security, databases, and AWS Cloud basics.
The program prepares students for various tech jobs, from technical support to systems administration and cloud engineering. Students also learn important workplace skills like communication, teamwork, and how to create strong resumes and handle job interviews.
